This item is a pair of viking style blacksmithing tongs.
The style of the tongs is based on archaeological drawings of tongs found on the Mastermyr dig, to attempt to closely replicate the tongs that would have been used in viking times.
These tongs are hand forged from mild steel, and securely riveted with a hand made rivet. The tongs are made using extremely tough and durable steel and this tool will last a lifetime if respected. The shape of the tongs is especially suited for bladesmithing but are also perfect for general blacksmithing work.
The tongs are shorter handled than normal tongs- approximately 30cm long in total. This allows the blacksmith to be dextrous in handling the steel.
